CakeBoss Cloud Inventory Feature
so you know how much stuff you have left
1. Your materials and ingredients have “Inventory” fields. Enter your inventory on hand.

2. For ingredients, the amount of your inventory is entered by the purchase size. In the example below, I have 4 ounces of almond extract in inventory, because “ounces” is the purchase size.
3. On your Order Screen is a button called ‘Pull Inventory’. When you are ready to decrement your required inventory for this order, click this button.
4. When you click ‘Pull Inventory’, a Pull Request screen will pop up. This shows you exactly what ingredients and materials you have pulled out of inventory. Please note that currently if you do not have enough in inventory of a certain ingredient or material, the Final Quantity will be marked as zero.
5. You may see some goofy looking fractions for some ingredients. This is going to happen when you purchase an ingredient, in this case salt, in large quantities (pounds, in this case) but use only a tiny fraction in your order. CakeBoss Cloud converts the miniscule amount used as a fraction.
6. Note that you are only allowed to pull inventory for an order one time. If you click again, you will see a red popup message informing you that inventory has already been pulled. You will see the same Pull Request you saw when you originally pulled the inventory. This is not a current snapshot of your inventory. For a current snapshot of inventory, use the reports (keep reading!).
7. Two reports function as inventory reports – Master Ingredients and Materials.
8. On the Materials report you will see your inventory for each item in the far right column.
9. On the Master Ingredients report, your inventory is also in the far right column. Please note that your inventory is displayed in the same measurement type as your purchase size. In the example in the green boxes below, baking soda is purchased by the ounce, so it is displayed in inventory by the ounce. Butter is purchased by the pound, so it is displayed in inventory by the pound.
